Three inpatient settings include a tertiary/quaternary care children's hospital, a public/county hospital and trauma center and a health maintenance organization
Four continuity clinic sites: UCSF/Mount Zion in the Western Addition neighborhood of San Francisco, UCSF Health at China Basin, Kaiser, and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.
Large program with 84 residents, including 31 interns
Programs include Categorical, PLUS (Pediatric Leaders Advancing Health Equity), Child Neurology, Molecular Medicine and Combined Pediatrics / Medical Genetics and Genomics
Primary Care Track
Pathways include Clinical and Translational Science, Global Health, Health Equity and Racial Justice, Health Professions Education, Clinical Informatics and Data Science
San Francisco - over 800K residents, diverse population, known for cool summers, fog, steep rolling hills, Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars, and progressive attitudes!
13 blocks, including one call-free elective per year and 4 weeks of vacation per year
Academic Half Days with simulated learning
Twice daily lectures including Clinical Reasoning Conference, Journal Club, Grand Rounds, Advocacy Hour, Social Justice Discussion Club, Residency Town Hall, etc.
Mixture of day/night shifts or day/weekend coverage, only one rotation with Q4 call.
